PAST LIFE REGRESSION & HYPNOTHERAPY

Paul woke up and told me he had been dreaming about a past life in which he was a she.

A young, blonde woman in Ireland who was walking through a hamlet and into her house where she was met at the front door by her mother. As she made her way upstairs to her bedroom her mother said : “Where have you been?”

And she said: “Just wandering.”

We used this opportunity for Paul to return to the scene in a lucid dream state to explore the experience further as he may have been accessing his Akashic Records in dream sleep.

Paul had been wandering in a meadow prior to returning home. The other houses in the hamlet were all cottages. We discovered that Paul was actually May, a 19 year-old weaver who lived in County Wicklow in Ireland in June 1740. She washed clothes, cooked, spun cloth and sewed.

Her mother’s name was Mary. Their diet comprised bread, potatoes, some vegetables and occasional meat. Chicken and fish were a rarity. The house was wooden. Access was via some steps at the side leading up to a platform. The front door was covered by a screen. The house was simply furnished.

May was wearing a coarse brown/green linen dress; ankle socks and muddy, brown leather, lace up boots. She said she would like to own a pair of going out shoes as her boots were all she had.

When asked about the rest of her life May said there wasn’t much to tell. I asked if there was someone special in her life. She said the men in the village thought she was very pretty but there was no-one in particular.

She then went on to describe how she became ill, was in bed, was very hot, weak and had a fever from which she died and everything went dark. When asked if there was any pain she said no but that everything was very hazy.

After death she described her surroundings as bright and shiny. There were no people but she was alright, felt no pain and was happy. She did say, however, she felt she had died too soon and not had the chance to do all the things that women do in their lives such as having babies.

When exploring connections between the past life experience and the present, Paul has an Irish Grandmother and we also perform as ‘Sean & Sian, The Leprecauns’, a theatrical character duo for mix and mingle and meet and greet events. Paul also has a teenage daughter so knows the joys of fatherhood if not motherhood!

Paul also had another dream immediately prior to this which he felt was just a “normal” dream where he was involved with the IRA and learning to be a freedom fighter. He knew this meant he was a terrorist but didn’t perceive himself as such.

He was training in a hut by the sea when the hut suddenly blew over into the water and he floated in the hut doorway away from the sea and into a calm river where he carried on floating until he reached a muddy bay or estuary point and came to rest. Just a dream or another glimpse into Paul’s Irish ancestry and higher consciousness?

Historical Research:

Without a surname it wasn’t possible to verify the identity of May. However, looking at parish records from the early 1700’s up until June 1740, Mary was a very popular name in County Wicklow villages. May’s Mother was named Mary and the name May itself could be a short form for Mary.

We fared better with the handweavers connection and were intrigued by the discovery of Wicklow as a long standing Sinn Fein stronghold as it pointed to the possibility that Paul’s earlier dream may in fact have been part of a serial dreaming process whereby he was exploring his Irish lineage through more than one past life experience. Or the two dreams may well be linked in some way with one being solely female orientated and the other entirely male.

Avoca Handweavers:
Located in Avoca village in the south of the county, Avoca Handweavers operates from the oldest working mill in Ireland today and dates from 1723. The entire weaving process is accessible to visitors and the adjacent mill shop showcases the complete Avoca range of clothing and a variety of other Irish crafts.

Sinn Fein:

Subsequent research into Wicklow reveals that it became an important industrial area. It was also a centre for Nationalist activity. To this day Sinn Fein is the strongest political influence in operation in the county. From a geographical viewpoint we discovered that Wicklow has a fast flowing river within its boundaries which ties in with Paul’s description of being swept away by the sea and into calmer inland waters.

Continued Observations:

About a week after experiencing the Regression Paul announced that he was afraid of dying in bed alone. The announcement’s impact was greater in that It was unexpected. It also opened up new areas for investigation. Paul as May volunteered the information that she died in bed from a fever. But was her mother Mary with her at the time or was she alone?
